Had a nice couple of day hikes over the last two weekends. Thought I'd share some pics.

The terrain was varied; lots of granite surface, and some nice wooded trail:

Some nice flowers (wild rose, pink ladyslipper, wood lily, bunchberry):

More to come...

A spot of pine tea:

The blades for the day (my wife uses the Busse BAD; I pocket-carry the Neilson):

Awesome pics!! I always enjoy your posts, keep em coming. That wood lily is a beautiful flower.

Awesome photos! You guys have some beautiful territory up there. I love the opening picture, and I really like the tree too. The tree reminds me of this one I found last year. This one puts me in mind of the painting "The Scream".

That tree would give me the creeps if I came upon it on a bright moonlit night!

Beautiful country!

How is that Busse BAD working out? It's the only design of theirs that I like, and I have wondered how the edgeholding is in normal cutting work, as opposed to the chopping that is done by everyone with the larger blades.

So far so good! My wife takes it on our hiking and canoeing trips; the blade size is just right for her. She probably uses it more than I use my knives, as she does the food prep. It hasn't needed sharpening yet, after several multi-day trips.
