I don't recall posting many of these. Was copying some files to an external hard drive and found my photos from Utah that I didn't know I still had. Enjoy, it's a beautiful place. Would love to go back.

I took a hike up and spent the night in this vacant patrol shack. Luxury compared to sleeping on the ground.

Some skating photos too, the skatepark in Park City was amazing. This trick is one where you do a 180 and make the board do a 360, then land back on it. Nollie bigspin.

Those are some beautiful scenery shots bro!

That last skateboarding trick looks like it will be totally awesome or really painful...

If you want to see a similar trick in action go to www.youtube.com/mikecookskates and look for the nollie gazelle video. That one is me doing a 360 while the board does a 540.

A funny story about that hike, is the girl I'm currently with first told me she loves me while I was inthat patrol shack on top of some mountain half a nation away.

man if this was left unlocked and unfenced here in BC it would be vandalized, or burned down.

I got the impression that no one went there in the summer. I came across abandoned ski lift stations, a diner / rest stop and the shack.

Really nice pics, and I like that terrain a lot. Nice little hut, too. I especially like the half picnic table: good idea.

dude, arches national park, way cool! I've run around there! Your pics are really cool. That place is quite an adventure. I dream to go back to that area as I only spent a day, one of my busiest days of my life, enjoying ever second of it.

Nice photos joe, I think we even photographed a few of the same rock formations.

I completely agree with you about the area. I'm determined to save up some money and head out to Utah again durin the summer. I got to spend about a week in parkcity and three days in moab. Park city was fun because I could cruise downhill through three roads and be at one of the best skateparks I've ever been to, or go hike up the ski paths and see some beautiful sights. Good food out there too. Moab was very beautiful. So red and a sort of primitive beauty compared to the factory laced cities in Ohio I'm used to seeing everyday.

Some neat shots there but I find it hard to avoid thinking of Roadrunner when I see this one. Beep Beep.

I lived in Utah for about 8 years and just barely scratched the surface of great outdoors places to visit. Want mountains? Yep. Want red rock country? Yep. Want the solitude of the desert? Yep.
