Hey guys,

So, I've been meaning to get these up for a bit now, just haven't had the chance.

A buddy of mine from SAR wanted to get out and practice some navigation skills, so we headed out to a place called Saskatoon mountain. Its a nice spot out side of town, has some great scenery, and at this time of the year no people, so, fires and general woods bumming are a GO!

There is an older SAT station there, no in use anymore, but you could see it off in the distance.

Give you an Idea of the 3000 foot elevation, its a great hike up!
You can see for miles.

Here is the area we were hiking in, nice little spot, an area here for archers. but I didn't get a chance to go over to it today.

After we hiked for a mile or so, we came to a range road there, its the main way of dividing land up here, you can see for ever on them, literally as far as the eye can see.

Then, I got back to the area we were going to have a fire, and get some cheese filled smokies cooking. I had just got a 840 clipper the other day, and I wanted to try it out.

So, I had my tools, got to work

Made some kindling, and it worked great. Im really liking this knife, light works perfectly and is stronger than I thought.

fuzzies were no problem either, plus it struck the firesteel fine.

All in all, had a great day in the woods. Not much wild life up there, but the sun was great at the end of the day,

Great pics man ! I just bought and gave that exact knife to a good friend at Xmas. He says it's the sharpest knife he's ever seen. Wait till he sees my Skookum !

Like I said, nice pics Fonly, and I know what neck 'o the woods you're at brother !

Great pics and looks like a good place for some serenity and some cheese-filled goodness :)
