Looking at this knife and I'm wondering what the grind is like. The thing is so cool looking to me, but there is mention of the coarse grind on KSF and I'm wondering if it's a true FFG or not.

Anyone have photos?

Also, opinions on the knife?

Thanks!

PS. Just bought a BRKT Mikro Drop Point in Golden Canvas...Amazing....

I don't have any pictures of it, but what do you mean by "FFG"? Full Flat Grind?

Because they're not. They're full height convex grind.

I bought one for myself and each of my kids. We really like this knife, comfortable in the hand, agile size, great fit finish and quality.

The 3V is very abrasion resistant and takes a bit more time to sharpen, but the edge holding is excellent andl worth the extra effort.

The blade is thin enough that the convex might not be immediately apparent, but the blade is full convex grind. The photos don't really show the grind.

As for the coarse grind, it is far from coarse. When the knife was first released Mike Stewart had stated that due to the abrasion resistance of the steel they did skip one or two polishing steps on the blade to keep labor costs down. So it is not so much "coarse" as it is "less polished". You can see in the third picture the difference between the blade finish, and the polished edge I put on the knife.
