Hi Folks, I think I'm going to pull the trigger on a Mnandi.

While I do like good looking knives I do t want to feel as if I can't just edc it in a normal way, eg just throw it in my pocket with no fuss.

That said I'd really appreciate seeing what Mnandi's with different scale materials look like after being edc'd for a while without babying it.

I've had large and small 21's, loved them but they just didn't fit into my day routine, pics would be greatly appreciated!

I liked carrying my Mnandi in my breast pocket. It felt better there than in my pocket. I don't really like pocket slips and, to me, the knife felt too narrow clipped to my pant pocket.

It didn't come into contact with anything in my shirt pocket, so it still looked pristine.

My guess is that between the hard inlays and polished titanium, most mnandis keep their clean looks for a long time, but I would love to see what a pocket-washed on might look like!

I EDC this Mnandi or a traditional slipjoint. A seb is does not work in my office environment.

I carry it with no clip and no slip case, tossed in my front pocket. Its seen the vast majority of days for the last 18 months. It is usually alone, but sometimes gets the car keys or small flashlight riding along with it.

The blade has very fine scratches from use. It gets light use on the week days (boxes, mail, etc). It gets heavier use on the weekends from the garage to the yard to the woods. Never babied but never abused.

The inlay is flawless. Honestly, these wood inlays must be the toughest scale I have every had. They show zero wear. You can see very slight rubs on the Ti around the edges.

I treat this knife like a tool, but it doesn't really show it :)

It is box elder burl. Most I have seen are light in color and strikingly good looking. I am fond of the darker colored ones. I found this 2 tone one on the exchange and jumped on it. Has some red in it too. Not the fanciest I have seen but I like it a lot.

This used to be my carry Mnandi but I moved it to safe queen status and don't carry it anymore.....African Blackwood:

You really got a good one btw, I've been trying to find one as figured as yours and I haven't had any success so far!

EDC shot...

That's a gorgeous Mnandi! I can imagine the texture hides wear quite well.

Not to derail too much, but I like your Brass Beta QRV2 with that EDC pairing. I myself have a Copper QRV2 with the titanium clip that I've enjoyed as of late.

here is my carry mnandi, a newer bark damascus i carry in an old william henry case which fits it perfect and is much smaller in the pocket than the crk shown also in the pic
