Ok, so as my CSTH slowly comes along, at some point it's going to need a sheath to keep it from tearing up the inside of my pack/truck/mom's basement/mall/whatever. I'd be really interested in seeing photos of people's sheaths to see what options are out there.

This one that theevilmike just posted is amazing:

Thanks.

I have always liked this one that came with my New River custom Magua Tomahawk.

But Robins sheaths are just amazing. Im going to have to get you to make me one latter on Robin. So you need to get some plutonium for your time machine.

It’s technically a hawk sheath, that bag hanging from a tree in the background is what I carry my axe some times. It’s a custom made map case, made by the very talented Pipeman.

So, Robin, the one in the second pic, with the criss-cross tooling...how does that work? Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm not getting it. Does it slide down and fit over that handle wrap?

They are all really awesome. You've got some talent, or maybe it's the time machine that Edwood7 talks about ;). I think my favorite is in the top pic with the broad bit. The tooling on the corners kinda looks like bat wings.

Randy, those are awesome. I'm afraid if I stare at your hawks too long, they might get pissed, jump out of my screen and lop off one of my arms...they are downright savage!!

Matt

Thanks, I've got a couple in the fire now that are gonna be savage. Literally......Randy

Edwood, I thought you'd be bigger

Hey Matt
Yes, it does slide down and over the wrap. It's a copy the bottom 1/2 of Sir Alexander McKenzies 18th century baldric. His had a back that came up above the sheath and a strap. Thanks for the kind comments.

Very cool. I didn't know that name...obviously he's better known in Canada. But I know a bit about him now including this:
"he completed the first recorded transcontinental crossing of North America north of Mexico"

Group Hug

HA! Smart ass.

Here is a few I had made.....
