I'm new to this site and ran into troubles adding a khukuri photo to a post last night. I attempted to use what I thought was the correct URL, but perhaps it wasn't. At any rate, it just wasn't meant to be. Can someone provide a pointer or two to assist this almost computer illiterate, please?

The URL has to end in .jpg or .png or .gif

If you can't find a URL like this for your photo, I suggest you post what you got and someone here can try to fix it for you.

Steve, my URL did not end with .jpg, so perhaps that's at least part of the problem. Thank you.

If you save the photo in like photobucket you can post it from there. It will make it a .jpg, not that I have a clue what a jpg is but it does it. Took me a while to learn photobucket like everything else computerish but it's not too hard.
If you have a kid under 15 they can probably show you how. Not sure if it's just me or all adults but while it all seems foreign to me it seems perfectly normal to young people.

Hi Bawanna. I did use photobucket, but all I got was a link to the photo and not the photo itself. I am doing something wrong some where...good thing I'm not learning how to breathe! Thanks for the advise.

I just looked, I can never remember. On the screen when your in your library to the right there is a section called Links to share this photo. They you got Email&IM, Direct, HTML and IMG. If you click IMG it will say copied. Then you just come here to your post and right click and hit past and presto slamma jamma your picture is here for us to look at.

The Email and IM is for when you want to email a pic or the link to a pic so it don't take up some many cyber gremlins or megabytes or some such stuff.

While you in photo bucket you need to find the place where you keep your bucket private or when you post your picture everyone can look at all your other pictures. Don't recollect exactly how ya do that. Have to look around again, it's a one time deal to figure out.
