Thinkin about a patina for my BGRSV. I searched for some info on what results come from what chemicals but didn't come up with much. i found that cutting frozen meats will yield blue/purple, apple cider vinegar makes a black/grey patina, garlic also makes blue. Anyone have any other knowledge of what to cut for what colors? reds, greens, orange? anything special i should know about putting a patina on a villager? pics of your own patinas?

thanks in advance.

Here's a pic I posted a while back in another thread. The patina was started with hot white vinegar mixed with a drop or two of dish soap and touched up a few times with yellow mustard. The rest is just use and abuse.

I'd suggest doing a search for patina and one for etching. The easiest way to find out what works on your particular knife is just to experiment. Anything acidic will work well. Some folks swear by mayo. Play around and have fun. You can always scrub it off if you don't like the results.
