I been thinking about getting a new Case to go along with my Trappers.I like this model.I like wharncliff blades in general.
If you have any pics on hand,I'd appreciate seeing this model next to other popular ones, for comparison(or by itself).
Do they make one with CV?I can't find it,if they do.
Also, what was the original intention for the coping blade?

Thanks,

Think I'm gonna get the red stag.

From what I have read in the past, Case can't get CV stock thick enough to do the Wharncliffe main blade, so it is available in Tru-Sharp only. The coping blade is handy in whittling, it lets you have a straight edge with a tip that is less delicate than a comparable wharnie, which makes it a lot easier to pop out small chips of wood.

Shown between a Case 62087 and a Schrade 33 OT.

Nice knife, I received mine from a give-away from waynorth, don't think they come in CV.

Thanks Yab,What year is that one?I never seen that particular shield before.

I've wanted a Case Seahorse Whittler for a long time and I've 2009 XX SFO in smooth antique bone on it's way to me now. Hopefully it'll be here in about 10 days. I couldn't find a CV version either.

I admit I am an ebay junkie :eek:

where I found this link

http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=case+seahorse+whittler

A bunch of different looks.

I have one in orange G-10 (Actually had 2 of them), but gifted it to my 9 yr old last yr so she could have a matching orange G-10 with her Tiny Trapper in the same color.

As to the knife, I really liked it. It's 4", which is nice in my lg. hands, but slim for pocket carry, too. As for whittling, I would've thought it'd work well, & the Coping & Pen blades do work well, but the Wharncliffe main blade's pretty stout. That's good, but maybe not for Whittling.

I thought it made for an excellent EDC/EDU, but I never found one in CV either.

If you do find out if they offered it in CV, please let us/me know.

Do not want to mess with your decisions John, but I really love my Bull Dog Ruff Ruff! The spine is a stout sonofagun. The frosted etch grew on me. Got this on Collector Knives.
