Hey!, that booger's been carried! a lot!!
The micarta has aged exactly like mine, which I've carried for 5 years. I just love 'em!

Good job David.

Might I add that it has a dished out offside bolster, satin finished blade, looks like a Benchmade pocket clip and it looks like it has no secondary grind.

Does it have Micarta scales or is that checkered black G10?

Thanks again

John

These pics were e-mailed to me a couple of month back. The person was selling the knife for $2,000.00. I passed. I believe the scales are micarta. You can see it if you look underneath the pocket clip where it's showing beige. One of my 6's does this. It get really dark with the sweat from my hands but turns back to beige after a few minutes. I'll try to post more picture tomorrow after my graphic designer scans in the picture. You guys will really like the picture I'll post tomorrow

You'll see the difference in micarta & blade grinds between (4) CQC6's.

Hey John,
I finally got this picture posting thing down

I think.

Oh and please notice (as someone requested a few days ago) all the screwheads are at the same angle.

Interesting and VERY nice knife. I have exactly same knife and paid alot less earlier this year. A kind soul I met on the Forums sold it to me. They must be from same batch.

Here are my 4 CQC6's. Notice the different blade shapes. Also notice the difference of the thumb disc groove on the bolster.

David,
Which one is best at cutting the end off the Cohibas? Kidding aside...beautiful collection and dynamite picture. Thanks for sharing.

That knife is likely from the same batch as my right hand grind CQC-6. The details are all the same including the spine bevel which is very different from every other generation of CQC-6 that I have seen. I have only seen EMERSON logo 6's with this characteristic. Very nice knife. I would hang on to that one. BTW according to recent posts there are four CQC-6's of this generation in our midst. Mine, Jackstraw's lefty, Lance's and this one.

Jackstraw,
Thanks. I didn't even notice the Cohiba. I just grabbed the closest thing to me for a background when I took the picture. Actually the best at cutting off the end of a cigar is a .99 cent knife that I have

Ark,
The picture on the very top of this thread is not mine. My EMERSON logo 6 is the first knife in the (4) 6's grouped together. Here's a clearer picture of mine

Damm - somebody has four CQC6s in the same picture!!

What a great knife collection. It is nice to see a six that has been used and not just kept in the safe deposit box.

If a basic six is going for $2000 I need to raise the house insurance.

edmoses,
$2000 is a lofty price but the knife in question does happen to be an older EMERSON logo custom with all the goodies on it which takes it out of the "bsaic" category. While I might not pay two big ones for the knife I would certainly pay more for it than the later SPECWAR 6's.

arkhamdrifter

You have a point when the new CQC6s are going for ~$1200.

Ed

I personally think that $2,000 is alot for an EMERSON logo 6, even with all of the goodies. I got my EMERSON logo 6 for alot less, about half. Now that I have enough 6's, does anyone have a CQC5 for sale??? One can dream.
