Nice David. Is the blade black or is that just the lighting? Sweet half moon 6. Enjoy.

Question answered by subsequent pic post. Great collection.

Dave, my old knife looks great! Now does it stay in the safe or get carried.

I did carry it for about a month after I got it. Now that it's like new again I put it the safe. I do carry a plain Specwar 6 on occasion.(Usually the weekends) The one on the bottom of the other picture that I posted.

I just got back my CQC-8 from Ernie. I had daily carried this knife and pretty much abused it for a few years. I noticed at an edged weapons conference that it was not holding its lock-up real well. Ernie did a great job of fixing it up (it was at his insistance that I stop using it so he could give it a little attention). In the meantime I have begun carrying a production 99 (fat handle, single detent) Commander instead. The 8 is now resting with the rest of my customs in the safe. It was nice to have Ernie take a real interest in a product that he made several years ago, and do a great job of bringing it back to life.

Kind of like a Rolex watch. Beat the crap out of it. Send it back after a few years & they buff, polish, and adjust the timing to like new. Only difference is that Rolex charges $550.00 for the refurbish, Emerson, $.00 to $20.00.
