Hope y'all bear with me whie I practice this photo stuff... Here's a pic of my Camillus collection:
Left to Right: Arclite, Pilot's Survival Knife, USMC Fighting/Utility Knife, Becker Brute. Blade lengths of the bigger three are 5", 7" and 9.5".
From the standpoint of a woodsman, I have everything I need here to survive with style. The Brute for chopping, the USMC or pilot's knife as a medium-sized worker, and my new little favorite, the Arclite, for fine tasks of whittling, food prep, and skinning of smaller game.
Darrell, great job on that design! The recurved blade is phenomenol for whittling. Combining a draw and push cut, this thing easily glides even through oak, because of the recurved blade. More pics on the way, as I get a new battery for the camera.
Gonna be testing the Brute heavily, then taking it to Idaho in June for a real "field-conditions" test, where I'll be relying on it to build shelter and a myriad of other tasks. We'll be 75 miles from civilization in any direction -- so it'll be all I got to keep me safe and warm!
Peace,
Brian.
