Been wanting one of these for a long time now and was lucky enough to get an offer to purchase on another forum. 3.5" blade 7.5" OAL, CPM154 steel, unsharpened clip but very thin, 1/4" thick overall. Perfect for punching a hole in something and it fits my hand like a glove! Maybe we'll see something like this in INFI someday.

Great score. I visited his shop about a month or so ago. He had knife storage blocks sitting everywhere with knives in different stages of completion. I picked up one very similar too yours that was just lying on the table like maybe it was a letter opener. Very surreal. Nice knife you have.

Nice score !

I picked up one of his Pocket Bowies in D2 at Blade, incredible grinds and great ergonomics. Been my EDC since.

Congrat's !

That looks like an awesome EDC. Tom Krein is definitely nice with the grinds. Btw...Bravado, you might want to fix the link in your sig.

I like it, it looks designed to be an excellent EDC a little similar to the CRK Ubejane blade shape ... just with a more of a blade tip swoop "old Jim Bowie Style)! Very cool! I'll bet that handle feels as good as a glove.

Congrats!

Wow...hell yeah I like it! Send it up north bro....I'll give it back...Promise!:p

Hey Bravado...what is that beauty called. I REALLY like it.

Btw...anyone know where I can see pics of TK's line? He still doesn't have his website populated.

It's called the Bulldog and you can check out Tom's work on Usual Suspect where he has his own forum. Also check out K9 knives it's another one of his ventures.

Thanks. I've been checking for TK since about December, but it seems like his website is kinda just a place holder for now. Almost put myself on the list for a Dingo, but I was really looking for an SFNO or two at the time, plus I have a badger or two already.

I signed up to join Usual Suspects this past week on GentleBen's suggestion, but for some reason even after authenticating my subscription, I still can't get onto the site. Oh well...I'll get on soon enough, and then my bank account will really be redrum.

I thinks he's a fan, I've seen him on here quite a few times plus he's done some fantastic regrinds on quite a few Busse's that I've seen.

I'd definitely count TK as a fan ... he's at least as much of a Hog as the average one of us.

And 'double yes' to those regrinds. Whew ...

I'm with Tony... I don't get it.
While INFI is a fantastic steel for multiple applications, it isn't the BEST choice for singular tasks. Even Jerry has admitted that there were applications for which something else was more appropriate than INFI:

There are steels that can surpass INFI in individual categories such as edge holding on soft media, stain resistance, etc. . . . but none that come remotely close to INFI when being compared across the board to the wide variety of categories that INFI excells at.
I am unable to find the post where he talks about how the D2 used in the Rat Skinner (Or was it a Safari Hunter? I can't recall.) was a better choice than INFI due to its properties. Maybe someone else knows how to pluck it out of the search engine.

Tom offers a wide selection of steels, some of which may be better for your needs than INFI. He uses the whole alphabet soup of A2, D2, CPM D2, 3V, S30V, CPM 154, CPM M4, Stellite 6K, Talonite, etc. If you have a specific need, he is willing to work with you to make what you want.

I'd definitely count TK as a fan ... he's at least as much of a Hog as the average one of us.
