I sent my Commander off to Bill just a couple of weeks ago and got it back today. He ground the blade to the shape of the Rhino and had it black coated. Sweet looking knife. I had him remove the wave for safety purposes. Bill does great work. Heres a pic:

If that link doesn't work click on the link at the bottom of this page for my Emerson collection. The knife is on there.

I figured I'd have this done since I will probably never own the real deal.

Had to click on the link to see the pic.

Cool knife! Yup. That's what mine looks like. Its super light and super fast...

I spoke with the owner of REKAT a few years ago regarding the issue of laws and double edged knives. He told me that several states raised hell with him regarding the Pocket Hobbit due to its serrated spine. He told me that he and his attorney beat the double edged bugaboo by addressing the legal definition of an egde. They argued that due to the fact that the Hobbit's serrations do not cut but rather tear they cannot be legally considered a second edge. The Hobbit is then within the legal parameters as a knife for carry.

Bear in mind that the Pocket Hobbit's serrations are somewhat unique in the realm of serrations. Their edge geometry involves a steeper grind angle and deeper scallops which result in a tearing edge rather than a cutting edge.

Of course passing laws based on how many edges a cutting tool has is rather silly.

Being new to Realm of the Usual Suspects; A few questions.

Is The Rhino Conversion doubled-edge? If so, Can it be done as a single?

Please post the contact info for Mr. Siegle.

Oh! and very nice Knife!

Pride of ownership is inherent to the profile of an Usual Suspect.
