Here ya go........Happy Easter to you also.
Both of these knives are awesome. I was just using my NMSFNO this morning batoning logs for an early morning fire...love this thing.
The CGFBM is a whole other story, just got it and cant wait to use it..waiting for the sheath....it is the best blade I have ever held and I am really close to selling all but my NMSFNO, Meaner, CGFBM and Ratmandu...oh and my Chopweiler with G10 that I just got. :O)
You must hold a Mistress to appreciate it..hard to describe with pics or words.
If you can get both do it....you wont regret it...I couldnt really afford the CGFBM but I said F' it, you only live once.
Enjoy!
I use the NMSFNO all the time. That pic is after its been cleaned up with green 3m scrubber pad and joy dish soap. I should have taken pics of the batoning easter morning. Knotty pine, hardwood.....almost had it stuck in a knot. I started pounding above the choil and on the handle to bite down from the back and sure enough the blade went right through the stubborn knot. I am sure my neighbors were like WTF is he doing...lol
Dispite the coating wear and probably 100 logs and tons of delimbing I still have not gotten to the bare metal.
Oh when I got finished with the Easter din din I went in to check if the NMSFNO was dry...it was so I took a piece of printer paper and began to slice through it just like my swine sharpness sheet was. I have not had to sharpen this blade yet since I got it...again it has been through so many logs I am just amazed at the true power of INFI. These Busse knives rule!
yeah me too. I had been contemplating buying that FBM for a few days but just couldnt get myself to commit. I went to a gun show in NH and said to myself if it is still on the forum when I get back it is mine. Sure enough it was there. It is only my second G10 handled blade and I have to say I love G10. These are the standard handles not the Mags. If I could choose I would have the standard handles on my NMSFNO also.
More pics to come once I get the sheath....cheers!
those are very useful pictures. i always wondered the size differences between those two outstanding blades. that BM is a beast! great looking knives by the way!
