I really like the look of the "Greek Key" design by Case. Does anyone have any pics they could share?

Much obliged!

Hmmm... it would seem that the "Greek Key" XX image is either obscure or unpopular. Either way, I see a gap in the BladeForums database...

I, Timberweasel, in the selfless interest of contributing to the BladeForums collective knowledge and pictorial reference library, have taken it upon myself to acquire said design; namely a Case Image XX Greek Key Mediterranean Blue Sway Back (pattern # TB61117 SS.) What a great excuse to buy a new knife! :D

Will post a photo or two when it arrives in a week or so...

Thanks for taking one for the team! I look forward to seeing this new design (and a sway back to boot! )

To whet your appetite until then....

Intriguing....

Nice pics, AKC! Are these pieces from your collection or just 'found' photos? Great, now I want the Stockman too...

That's the Gent I ended up ordering (again, for science :D)...

I just looked up some Google pics. While attractive, it's not quite my cup-o-tea.

Ah, so you posted 'em just to give me a set of 'Mediterranean Blue' ba... er... just to tease me! You are a cruel, cruel fella, sir!

:D

Well, after much anticipation, my Sway Back Gent arrived today. I'm sad to say that I am underwhelmed and greatly disappointed by Case. It's a good-lookin' folder to be sure, but there's no walk & talk to speak of and a terrific lean to the left when the blade is closed. I really wanted to be enamoured with this knife; perhaps I got a lemon, but there were two other Case knives with my order and they are lack-lustre as well... :thumbdn::grumpy::thumbdn:

Here are the pics as promised. They didn't turn out so well but I can't be bothered to try for better...

Sorry Case. I won't be buying more from you any time soon.

Well, while it's a good-looking knife, I agree on the issues. Blade krinking is only for Stockman & other multi-blade patterns - not on single blades!

If you contact Case, I'm sure they'll make it right. They have for me before.

I'm generally a sucker for a blue case, but not that one. sorry about the walk and talk, I just sent a tiny trapper back to them since it lacked any talk at all. Hopefully you'll send it back and have them make it right.

Thanks fellas! I've got all three of my new purchases sitting, shimmed, on my kitchen counter--hopefully this will help some, but if the blade on my Gent continues to rub against the liner, it'll be going back to Case. I suppose some measure of my disappointment comes from the additional expense of shipping and customs tax... which, combined, added over $60 to the overall cost. Admittedly, I'm loathe to accrue more charges by sending the knife back.
