Pic Request: Custom 110 with Damascus Blade...

This may be dangerous. Last week, I requested pics of the S30V 110, and today, I ordered one. But despite the dangers to my bank account, I'm going to forge on here...

I got to thinking about all the blade steels I have in 110s and even posted a thread about it. Made me realize that damascus is the only one I'm missing.

My next custom 110 was going to be the rough Asian water buffalo with nickel-silver bolsters and BG-42. But after thinking some more about the "missing" damascus blade, I played around on the Custom Shop "create your 110" page. On the digital picture, I think that the damascus blade looks pretty dadgum good with the water buffalo and nickel-silver. The dark/light of the blade pics up nicely on the dark/light of the scales/bolsters.

Anybody got a pic of this knife or a similar one with the damascus?

"Black 420HC" ? Does that seller know what he's talking about, or is that really damascus? 420HC with a black coating maybe?

It is one of the custom shop options, a black coating. AFAIK
 
I see that now. Never paid any attention to it before. Is that a "tactical" option? Must be, since 420HC, ATS-34, and BG-42 are pretty corrosion resistant.

I found an old back thread where folsom posted a picture of a damascus blade. I remember he used to post good pics of his custom 110s. Where is he these days? His last post was almost two months ago. Hope everything is okay.
 
I just recalculated that guy's custom 110... he wants $155 for a knife that the custom shop makes for $101? BWA HA HA HA!

There's other Custom Knife Shoppe knives on ebay. A couple of weeks ago one went for $191 that I ordered for $124 shipped. :confused: You gotta assume some of these buyers simply don't know that you can order the knives cheaper from Buck!
 
Yeah, I saw a number of "Special Edition" 110s with nickel silver, finger grooves, and 420HC. According to completed auctions, they are selling for between $60 and $70 with another $10 for shipping.

Heck, you can get nicer wood, finger grooves, nickel silver, and some upgraded steel for that price. Just takes a little waiting.
