Hey guys. I've been talking with a friend of mine and we got to these 2 knives. We both know that they aren't similar other that they are sharp and made by a great company.
But he was wondering about the size difference and I have no freakin' way of explaining it.
So if someone has those 2 or pics where they are side by side i'd be really grateful.

Thx in advance

The light in here sucks tonight because of the storm but I can put some pics up in a day or two if no one else does.

Darn. I own both these knives but am away on a business trip so nowhere near them or a camera. I will say this, they are very different in size. There is some overlap in use for sure, but the Bravo-1 is more comparable to the ESEE-4 than ESEE-5, but that may be the reason you need the comparison pics. A picture is worth a thousand words. Both are GREAT blades.

Ill grab a pic tonight for you.

both are great knives and very different in many ways.

Here you go. As you can see, the ESEE-5 is a much larger knife than the Bravo-1. Personally, I carry a folder most of the time. The CS Voyager has a 5" blade and it cuts well. Looking forward to the HEST folder.

As you can see from the pics above the RC 5 is a totally different animal than the Bravo 1. Here's a pic comparing the RC 4 to the Bravo1 which would be a more fair comparison.

FWIW- As much as I like the Bravo one, I like the shorter, flatter grip of the RC 4 as well as the forward finger grip/choil.

I have both but HD provided pics so....
Both great knife Companies

My thinking exactly. I prefer the Bravo-1 to the ESEE-4 because the larger handle on the Bravo fits my hand a little better. But I trust both of them to get the job done.

Love me some ESEE blades, but I think I need a Bravo. :D "Honey....remember when I said I was done buying knives for a while...."

Pretty much why I'm gonna go with a Bravo over the ESEE-4. I held the 4 and I feel clumsy with it, and knowing that it's just a bad cut waiting to happen.

But actually the talk was about Mil spec, SERE and all that knives. Now when it comes to guns my friend is like a fish in water, but knives... Well other than Rambo knives he knows Ka Bar. Pics of Ka Bar and ESEE-5 aren't that hard to find, but I was trying to explain that it comes down to the how you use the blade and that a 10" blade isn't exactly preferred.
And knowing the history between these 2 knives - is there really a better way to prove my point? They are made by, and I dare to say it, 2 best companies on the market when it comes to fixed blades in collaboration with actual military users

I stopped saying that. Everytime I said I was done buying knives for awhile my wife just looked at me and smiled and said " yeah, right". I'm glad someone posted that picture. I didnt realize how much difference there was between the ESEE5 and a B1.

I saw this comparison and it pushed me into action. I just ordered a Bravo 1 to go with my ESEE-5! I gotta stay away from this forum!!;)
