Does anyone have a Fallkniven F1 and a Bark River Highland Special?

I already own the F1 and I'd like to see how the Highland stacks up in term of size, especially handle-wise.

Help is greatly appreciated!

I have the F1 and had a Highland Special. The highland handle was way smaller and felt almost dainty. I sold the Highland and plan on keeping the F1 until the end of time.

Here you go! If you want/need some more, different angles, other comparisons, whatever, let me know.

Jimjoenick,

The full height convex grind is "nice", the handle, not so much. At least IMO. OTOH, I'm slowly coming around to it.

I don't care for the tapered slabs, cone like shaped handle. Just feels like my hand wants to slide forward to easily onto the blade. Pulling cuts, or slicing, no problem. Push cuts, plunging or stabbing, not so much. Just doesn't feel "safe", "solid", to me.

The Highland is part of the professional series,-- no guard,--, and meant for users that can safely handle a guard-less blade, you have a more forward grip, while the F1 is my all time favorite, the highland and fox river are super "hunting' type blades that perform above excellent, and give you various holds with the factory tapered handle. kris 271.jpg

Thanks everybody for the pictures and feedback. Ive decided to stick with my F1, as i'd rather not go down on handle size. That Highland Special looks real nice though!

Thanks again!
