Guys, now that I have my HEST, it occurred to me that the Izula may be too small for my hands . I'm thinking this because the HEST is in a very comfortable size, so maybe the Izula will be a tad too short.

Could anyone please post a pic of both the Izula and HEST side by side? Since I have the HEST, with the two together I can have a good idea of the size of the Izula.
Thanks in advance! :)

Nope, you still have to register to see the pics. If you uploaded them to the server on the forum over there, there's no way to see them short of registering.

How about this?

The Mad Dog Bear Cat has a 5.4 inch blade. The small Sebenza in the bottom pic has a 2.9 inch blade.

LUW, the scales on the Izula really beef up the handle a LOT and make it feel like a "real knife" instead of a "small neck knife." It is a very usable knife and acts much bigger than it is.

I'm not a fan of the prybar thing on the HEST, so it will go away as soon as I have a moment with the belt sander.

I personally and thoroughly dislike the wrap on the Izula, but I got it in a trade. As soon as I find another set of scales, the wrap is gone. The wrap is spongy and does not offer a consistent grip, in addition to being a haven for all sorts of liquids and biological "ickies."

Sorry about the crappy pic quality, I just shot these in a hurry for a friend who is also a Mad Dog junkie and user, but is looking at the RAT knives heavily as well.

Thanks guys, these pics proved that I really need an Izula :p.

And it definitively has to come with scales. So far I haven't really appreciated the grip on all the skeleton knives I ever handled. I don't know, while a good paracord wrap can make the handle comfortable, I just can't be confident in them . Maybe it will be different with the Izula, but I think I better get the scales up front. Specially because everyone says that it may be a small knife, but it works like a big knife ;).

Parker, before I got mine, I also had doubts about the pry bar on the handle of the HEST, but it honestly doesn't bother me. My hand is kind of big (XL for Mechanix gloves), but still the HEST feels comfortable in my hand. And it's not even like "it would be perfect if it was a tad longer", it's really good at the length it is, so the pry bar is really an asset.
