Gentleman Jim and/or 7AW?

I think the journeyman is next for me...just might need a little push! ;) :)

I would love to hear about the feel of it too...nimble, fast in hand like the GJ?

Thanks all!

I love my journeyman! Go for it! I don't have a GJ or 7AW to compare it too but it's a little bigger than a Horseman. Mines super smooth and doesn't feel clunky at all, for a larger folder.

Just a little bigger than the Horseman?! Wow...I thought it was a bigger knife!

I love the gentleman jim design, and I always wanted one! Well, I finally ordered myself one and it should arrive middle of this coming week. =) You can't go wrong with either.

The GJ was my 1st Emerson and I love it. Almost thought the journeyman might be like a bigger/badder brother! ;)

Just got mine in the mail today and I'll post pics later. I'll say this, I held the knife for about 2 minutes before I had to go to work and I'll say those 2 minutes were a lovely affair from my 7, 12, and csf....extremely comfortable, very smooth, reasonably sized for edc or larger edc for some.
I'll post it with my emersons and a few non emersons for a size comparison

rpn, Glad I could help!;)

Bladester, Thanks Man!:D

mrnotsam123, You hit the description dead on the nail! Couldn't have said better myself!

I highly recommend this model as a larger Emerson knife that isn't scary or aggro looking to the sheeple too. I like the ergo's of the Journeyman more than the 8 series.

That is a pile of sweet steel mrnotsam! That's a SMF, not Sng I figure?

Well..I'm convinced. Next journeyman pops up on the exchange..stand back all! I'll trample people getting to it! ;) :D

Thanks rpn :D it's been quite the expedition to my current collection and my current tastes in blades.

And it sure is, surefire way to tell in any pic is how many scale screws you see, sng's only have 3 where the larger smf has 4.

I'll make sure to steer clear when one comes up on the exchange so I don't get trampled haha

A bit off topic: Rayster, I had never thought much about the Gentleman Jim until I saw your photo. Now, I've added it to the "I want" list!
Thanks. --Larry

Haha:p That's Awesome Bladester! I think you'll like it quite a bit. Very capable and makes a great steak knife too!:D
