Pic request: ladyfinger next to recluse

Hard to tell as the recluse hasn´t seen any use yet and the ladyfinger belonging to my wife.

Ive used the ladyfinger a bit and only fondled the recluse so far, but I´d say that they´ve got two different feels to them depending on use.
I would describe the recluse as a do-all woods blade and general knife whereas the ladyfinger is actually a very, very capable bird and trout.
The Recluse fills the hand perfectly and got nice roundish handle shape as opposed to the slimmer and slightly longer ladyfinger. Its just got a totally different feel to it but it is a lovely knife. I have used the LF for food prep, cutting sticks and general use and I like it a lot.
I will probably get myself a LF sooner or later.

Sorry about the rambling. I ll sum it up as this: If I need a rough cutter for thick greens and woods, all general use I´d pick the recluse as it fills my hand better for tough cuts. Anything else get the LF

For me...

Recluse (scandi) on heavier woodsy work.
Ladyfinger (scandi) otherwise.

Ladyfinger (scandi) is good fun.

Man that is just gorgeous! I have so got to get a Recluse. I handled a birch one at Blade that was stunning, and I just fell in love with the design...but it will be dealing with a lot of blood and tallow so I really want to go with something more like this.

.

I know what you mean about blood and tallow, it's sticky stuff. This Recluses primary purpose is hunting. I personally haven't found a blade that's better suited for it than this one, at least not in my hands.

This is my second. I liked the first, but sold it after I seen this one on a dealers site. It was kind of a gamble not knowing if it would sell before I could get rid of mine. This one might go if I ever see one dressed in green and orange:D

Yeah, I am definitely going to be getting a Recluse for this hunting season!

The Recluse and Woodsman are my only two Fiddlebacks at the moment. But they are a solid performing team. Both feel like an extension of your hand.

I had thought that the Terrasaur will be next. But I got a good look at the Kephart the other day. I really like that pattern.

I have handled and used several "bushcraft" knives, English made and American, including my previous favorite Andy's KE Bushie. Andy's Kephart is hands down my favorite. I posted a review of mine here.

I am just really drawn to the Recluse, have been since the beginning and the evolution of the custom version has only spoken to me more. Now that certain changes are on my horizon and I will be back to hunting more again I am reeeeally drawn to it. I am going to have one for this hunting season :)
