I'm need some help making a decision on the next Emerson. It's time for a tanto and I'm thinking about either a waveless CQC7 or the waveless mini 7, if I can find one, and could use some pics of the mini in hand. I really would like to buy the CQC7 but due to carry regulations:mad:, the mini would be legally safer to carry.

TIA
Dave

If there are legal issues, get the mini. I own all three sizes of the 7 and carry the mini while at work. It's blade is the same thickness as the standard sized cqc 7, so it's just as tough. It's a small knife with the heart of a large knife. Also, If you can afford it, get both.

I'm not a huge fan of the "wave", so I've been trying to find a dealer that stocks a waveless mini without much luck:mad:. I may have more success finding one second hand...or just bite the bullet and get one with the wave.

I'm doing some electrical work on a security system, and the wires in the security panels are dressed using sticky backs pads. When I'm doing my panel work, I'm removing the unnecessary sticky backs, but the double stick tape is often left behind. I use a screw driver to scrape them out but there is still some residue left. I got to thinking Friday, that a tanto tipped knife would be perfect to get in the panels and cut the adhesive pads out of there...It seems to me to be the perfect excuse for a new Emerson!

I didn't have a Mini 7, so I pulled the trigger and got one. Good excuse? :)
