searched but could not find - anyone have a pic of a muddy blade with black paper handles?

I know Busse has a pic up of that BJ combo, but hoping for one that is bigger and better quality - really hard to get a sense from that pic.

Thanks :)

I've never seen it. Black paper looks good with everything IMO. You should get a BOSS Jack in that combo and then post pics. :D

I'm leaning towards it :D:D:D

After using my BWM LE and RMD2 LE I think I've grown to like using black paper over tan canvas... And muddy will have to do I suppose since there is no bama clay option :yawn::D:D;)

Is black paper really more fragile than canvas? I've seen that opinion posted but I don't remember ever seeing a picture of a broken black paper scale. My buddy broke (cracked) his black canvas scale on his NMFBM.

I know I've heard that black paper is more fragile, but I cant imagine cracking it - especially on a BJ-sized knife. Love to see some definitive evidence or experiences on the strength of BP. Cant even imagine how much force it mustve taken to crack canvas...

I don't think I've ever cracked ANY handle before except on a Swiss Army Knife.

this is black G10/muddy, sweet combo

He was batoning a log with it using another log to beat the NMFBM fore and aft. Busse offered to replace it at no charge but I think he opted to pay for a Black G-10 upgrade.

Canvas micarta and G10 both have a much higher strength when looking at torsion, shear, impact resistance etc.

You would really have to push the performance to get it to break though. You could do it though.

Repeated throwing comes to mind.

Batoning might do it if you were really going for it, and hitting the handle on the spine while trying to baton.

I would not worry about it too much, unless you were going hell bent for leather!
