Just ordered my grail knife, NMFBM full convex satin blade, black canvas micarta scales.
Any of you guys have one to post a pic off?
I really need a fix to keep me going for the aweful waiting period I am embarking now.....

Wish i did. Those Busse's are out of my price range at the moment. Gonna get a Ratmandu or something in the near future. Sux you got such a long waiting period. Stay strong. :)

Doing my very best, but sure could use some eyecandy to help me allong, lol

By the way, you have a very norwegian name Ulf, you originaly from Norway?

Good Grail! I have a NMFBMLE, with hand-shaped tigerhide linen. I decided that I only want hand-shaped canvas or linen micarta on my Busse choppers and users (almost everything) from now on, unless it is an exotic material from the Custom Shop.

Tom, I love the feel of canvs micarta, and since the LE has been out for so long, i did not want to wait on the exchange, so the custom shop got my call,,,,
And I promise you all, this WILL be a user/beater....
I have gone to the school of Lennox, and he says use them all like it is no tomorrow.....

I passed on the LE's when they came out, because of the $$ (897?) I took in a NMFBMLE in trade. It had edge damage like it had been chopping rocks. The owner (bobbystoney)claimed someone ELSE had done the dirty deed. After re-doing the edge on my Kalamazoo, it is perfect! Lost about 1/8th of an inch, or 1 year in Infi-lifetimes.

Lol, why is it that infi make some people chop brick....?
I know infi is super tough but I think I will stick to wood for now atleast....

My father's side of the family is norwegian. Great grandfather was named ulf. 1/2 norwegian 1/2 italian. I'd like to take a trip to norway. Most of my favorite bands are from scandinavia and the wilderness up their looks interesting. Would like to see the mountains and fjords and such. My dad took a trip there and said he had a good time. Brought me back some samplers of some linie aquavit and a reindeer pelt. That aquavit is some good tasting booze.:) I can't get any around where i live would have to take a 5 hour drive to get some but some day will break down and do it and buy a couple cases. Could order some and have them shipped but shipping cost is way to high. My sister lives where the store that carries it is i told her to bring some back with her but she couldn't then but now that i remember i'll have to remind her.

Ya me too.:) Is that you in your profile picture? That's a nice UZI looking type gun you got there. What is that? Are you in the Norwegian Armed forces or some type of military?

That Ulf is me, gun is HK MP5 in 9mm, full auto version..
Picture is from my time in the Norwegian Homeguard Quickresponse unit.
Good times were had there, lol...

Hell yeah :) I got a Walther HK Mp5 .22 semi auto. Love that gun. My favorite (funest) 22 to shoot. Bet that 9mm rocks. Are you still in service? And if you got out of service did they let you keep the MP5?

Still in service Ulf, just not Quick response unit.
Next year we trade to HK 416, looking forward to something with a little more "umpfff" lol...
Was weird going down from HK g3 full auto 7,62 to 9*19mm, so the 223/556 will be nice...
We get to play with funny sh.. in the service...

Yeah i bet. 308 7.62 x54 I don't think would be a good caliber unless you were sniping or something. Too powerful to keep on target with rapid shots. And 223 will be much better than 9mm . good for long range shooting and close. Hopefully they"ll give you some good JHP rounds for the 223 to give them rounds some expansion cause the 223 round ain't very big. I would hope they would issue me a gun calibered in 7.62 x 32. Really like that round. Controllable and powerful. I use the 7.62 x 54 as my hunting caliber for whitetail deer.Fairly accurate and powerful out of my 24" barrel Weatherby Vanguard 2. And can buy a ton of cheap russian surplus ammo to target practice with. Do you guys up in Norway hunt reindeer or do you keep them around like people have cows and other cattle in the USA? Or is reindeer more further north in lappland? Do you hunt? You see any whales where you live?

Hey Ulf, reindeer are further north, the saami people have them as livestock, but you can actually hunt them too...
I don't hunt,,, yet. But I plan to take the hunters course some time next year.(we need to take courses for that up here)
The G3 I had was 7,62*54, and we used it for everything, even cøearing buildings and rapid fire, good accurate gun, they had a sniper version too, with scope and bipod.
Now I thinl they actually use the HK 417 (longer version of the 416) pluss the Barret 50cal.... that thing is a monster....

Ihave not seen whales but they also stay further north, I live in Oslo the capitalof Norway so I am south in Norway..
Where in the states do you live?

Hunting laws are so ridiculous in this day and age. I had to do the same thing. I've been using guns since i was about ten and could hunt without a safety certificate up to age 16 i believe and did. Then lost interest in hunting and guns till a couple years ago when i was 26 and they made me take a safety course even though I've been using guns my whole life or I couldn't hunt and make you pay for the coarse also. The government tell's you what gender you can shoot each season so if you see a real nice buck when it's listed your only supposed to shoot does you can't or would get fined or put in jail. It sucks.

I live in northern Minnesota. I've heard it looks alot like Scandinavia and that's why when all the Norwegians,Swedes, and Finns immigrated to America they moved up here. Barely know anybody that doesn't have ancestors that weren't from scandinavia here.

You still got snow on the ground in Oslo? We do here actually snowed today. We get -50 and -60 below zero farhenheit with -30 being the most constant temp during the winter here how cold do it get there?
