hey guys. So lately I have been fantasizing about a fully sandblasted XM... lock side and scale. If anyone has any pics they can post of a fully sandblasted XM with the smooth sandblasted titanium scale that would be freakin great. Any sort of sand blasted finish please post it up here! I would love to see how the sandblasted scale looks on a stone washed lock side.

So post any sandblasted xm shots!! Next time the smooth ti scales are available, im all over the SB!! Hell id like to check out all of the smooth ti finishes in person. but there's just something about sand blasted titanium that really makes me smile! ;)

Also...suppose you get your hands on a ti scale...would RHK anodize JUST a scale for you?? Maybe rob, rick, or a mod can chime in.

Thanks guys!! :) hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend! :)

Great pics Chemdawg (everyone actually)... I have always assumed my blue ano'd gen4 (non-logo'd) 3.5" was sandblasted, but I'd never seen a blue sand up against a blue bead... now I see I do indeed have sandblasted. :)

Just yesterday I had a sandblasted 3" in my hands, but my BB 3.5 was not nearby and it woulda been odd doing a photoshoot of my buddy's knife, so sorry no images.

I do however now have SB on my want list...I broke it down, cleaned the muck out of her and reassembled...I enjoy it and this dirty XM certainly needed it. I have to say again, there are a lot of guys out there with little forum time/want but still enjoy their XMs. Not as much as I do, but...:)

Glad to help...I had the same questions in distinguishing between the bb and sb as well. They are both great!

I can finally contribute to my own thread!!! Today i got myself a sandblasted textured Ti scale for my XM-24s...iv already had it on both of em. :D ...heres a buunch of pics of some changes made in the small but humble stable. I first put the Ti scale on my edc bronze 24 during my lunch break, 15 mins back at the house is all i had, and i had the scale on minutes after i opened it. So i carried it and used it at work all day on the bronze edc, and it feels amaaazing! This think was a TANK before, but now its a whole new breed of animal lol. Then, later on, i got home and installed it on its destined 24...the blue ano non flipper, super shiiny blade. :) ...i also installed the blue ano standoffs i got on ricks site a week or so ago, and now i think it looks pretty damn sweet. I sure do love sandblasted!! :D

First pics are on the bronze edc, i later put on the digi camo since its the work blade and iv had the scale forever but never used it!...

That sandblasted textured ti scale looks really good on there cool daddy. I bet that thing feels like a beast in hand! Congratulations buddy. I like the silver skull FT against the blue ano also. Very classy.

Sweet scale man!! Looks awesome! Definitely jealous!

It's funny my 3.5 spanto has the bronze in the flipper cracks and jimping cracks just like your bronze. I think they put that one on accident or something. Hmm...

I'm pretty sure it's from heat treating. I think most have it. :)
