I have been looking high and low for these pictures, trying to guage which size sebenza I want. I really think I should get a small sebenza as I like pocket carry. I would just like to see a picture of each in hand. Maybe someone with medium sized hands.

Thanks!

Edit: I feel like I have been looking in the wrong places all this time. If someone knows a place I can find good pictures of this please link me. It would be really helpful to me and others trying to decide on their first seb. Thanks!

I have and use both, but for EDC I prefer the small one.

I use Large for outside city activity.

Thanks a lot raindog. I think I am going to get the small one. I like big folders but I already have a spyderco military to handle all the crazy tasks.

Perfect, thanks a lot. I am kind of worried about the small's handle being too short. We will have to see!

I've got medium hands, but for my purposes I kept the large one and sold the small, I think, IMO, that you should take in consideration your personal uses for an EDC and also if you're not limited with the blade length, good luck for your choice.

Wow !... I was about to post the same request here ! ... I'm exactly in the very same situation than you: trying to choose between small or large ! amazing !

currently I'm EDCing a Buck/Mayo TNT... seems perfect size to me, but I want to upgrade to a Sebenza; but I can't decide if the large one is that larger or if small one is too small...

I usually EDC knives in the short side (actually the TNT is the biggest folder I EDC, (have others larger but not really EDC them)...

This thread helps a lot !... I think I'm going to choose the small one and try to make it work for me (you know, using the lanyard as an extension on the handle and finding the better grip for me). I've had smaller knives as EDC (Kershaw Leek, Buck LG Stockman, Spyderco Jess Horn) and all those had worked fine for me at their time.

For a larger and toughter blade, I'll keep my BM mini Rukus, Buck 110 or some fixed blade close.

Thanks for the help... !

Raindog - your hands look a little larger than "medium" to me.

Rosh - the small Sebenza is a little smaller than the Buck 172, both in blade and in handle length. The small is almost exactly the same length (blade and handle) as a mini Griptilian, although the Sebenza has a little more usable handle length. With the Sebbie your index finger rests a little closer to the blade, so you can get a little more of your hand on the handle.

Is the small sebenza comparible in size to the spyderco delica? Same handle size?

My hands are XL (golf glove) and I own both small and large Sebenza's. I am currently EDC'ing the Small Sebenza and though its small in my hand, its quite usable. The small sebbie is a great little pocket knife, period.
If I have something that requires a larger blade I tend to use my Strider SMF which fits me perfectly.

The Delica's handle is longer than the small Sebenza's - 4.25" vs 3.875". The blade overall length is about the same, but the Sebbie has more cutting edge - 2.75" vs 2.56".

Sounds great then. Pretty close to the delica which is an awesome size.
I just want a knife to EDC so i think that is the clear cut choice.

Thanks for the reference. but I've never handled a mini Grip...

I have a Leek, and by looking at specs, seems that SM Sebenza is almost same size, but as design is so different I wonder about handle usage...

Do anyone can provide a pic side by side comparing a SM Sebenza to a Kershaw Leek ?... would be much appreciated

by the way... I inteend to get the Classic model...

thanks !

Here is another pic for size comparison:

Hope this helps :)

To me the small sebbie is way too small. I feel large is just normal size folder, not big at all.

Here's a pic with a large sebbie between a Spyderco Military and a Microtech Mini Socom Elite.

Looking at the shot comparing the military and sebenza it looks around the size of the spyderco big persian which is a large folder imo. Thanks for the pic northernlight! Simbad, thanks a lot for the picture comparing the delica. It's great everyone is giving pictures comparing it to spydero's I have or had once had.

Garonne, how are those micarta inlays? That's what I am looking to get!

Thanks a lot for your help and all the pics you provide, guys !...

I think I remember when I get my Spyderco Jess Horn it was the very same size as the Delica, (different design but same lengts, I had a hard time to decide which one back then)...

So I can use that and pretend instead a Delica is my Horn and compare size... Small still seems OK to me...

BTW, is there any relevant diference between Regular and Classic in terms of ergos or usable handle lenght?

Thanks again... keep them comming, pls.

From looking around threads I believe I have gathered that the small sebenza is a better fit with the classic style. I also like the classic's blade better. I don't really know though, I would still like to hear what others say. I already ordered my small classic micarta though! :D
