I've been eyeing these for quite awhile now but never seem to get one. I'm in need of a bigger wallet and need a little persuasion on this particular one;) . Most internet sites never seem to have larger, more detailed pics. I know that they can't fit in dockers but that's ok even though I wear them most of the time. I could just wear it around my neck. I have a Fossil Italian Leather one that my brother gave me but it's too small. I can't fit all my credit cards in it and coins keep falling out of it. There's just no room:grumpy: . Also, are there any retail stores(non-internet sites) that carry these wallets? Particularly in the U.S. Thanks for your time.

I bought mine from Ranger Joe's but you can get them from Brigade Quartermasters and even 1 Stop Knife Shop
 
Quit THINKING about buying one, and BUY one! I've had mine for a little over a year now, and it's still going strong and it still looks like new.:).
 
I had one until it was stolen with ALL of my stuff. They actually do fit (although snugly) into most pant pockets. Also consider the Infinity RaySkin wallets, the large bifold is pretty roomy and looks great.

Just in case you're not sure about where to order from- I've had a T.H.E. Checkbook Wallet on order from 1sks.com, along with a Cold Steel Urban Pal, since, jeez, January or February- still haven't received it. They keep saying on phone calls to 1sks that they haven't had any black checkbook wallets sent to them yet; mostly blaming the war efforts...although I'm kinda wondering how many calls there are for Black wallets/checkbooks over there...I dunno. I did send e-mails, never got a reply to even one. The Urban Pal was a gift for an occasion that already passed; I've pretty much given up hope of 1SKS coming through at all. I learned my lesson.
 
Got mine from Brigade quartermasters. i have a number of slacks where they do not fit, but less than 10%. I love mine. Simplifies air travel.
 
The Wallet is awesome. And so is the checkbook wallet (nice for the Mrs. Go to Assaultweb.net and join if not a member. Go to the for sale and search for RT's posts. He sells them to members for $20 shipped.
 
T.H.E. Wallet pissed me off. I tried it for about two weeks but it's just too damn big for me. I love the closure though and the features, but why can't they make it just a little bit smaller? How about a 3/4 size version? It would be awesome. Mine's for sale cheap if anyone wants it. Email me if interested....
 
I placed orders for dozens of wallets (actually, closer to a couple hundred) at the SHOT show - thus far we've gotten exactly 12 black models from that order. We *just* got Desert Tan & Desert Camo models in today (from the SHOT order), but no blacks or OD's. Believe me, I wish I had them to sell, because I've got tons of backorders for them - and I'd much rather be collecting money than dealing with angry customers.

The long & the short of it is that Spec-Ops is just now starting to catch up from their war orders. Everyone and their brother wants the black wallets, so naturally the supply is scarce.

If you want to switch colors, I'll be happy to do so, but if your order is from Jan, you are near the top of the list when the black ones come in.

Thanks Spark. It is frustrating waiting this long and not having a "guesstimate" of when these might be coming in, especially with something else, that was a gift, ordered along with the wallet. Oh well, I'll just have to wait it out cause I do want the black checkbook wallet...
 
I feel ya. I did talk with SpecOps this week and they are working on the delays - and because their business has grown so rapidly this year they are even putting in a new invoicing system that will handle backorders better. To cover my bases, I ordered another few hundred - if I have seen 12 since SHOT, god knows when I'll see these.
 
Has there been any movement on the black checkbook wallets yet?? I figured I'd check back here in about a week from the last post and then I'll try e-mailing the company if nothing's coming in yet...
 
Nothing yet d00d. Still got Tan though... :D

Is that just plain Tan, or is it a camo style? If it's just a plain tan, can I get the Checkbook wallet in that (I also ordered an Urban Pal from Cold Steel)?? If so, then let me know if you can send that badboy out to me!
