I'm looking for a photo of a Zero Tolerance 0350 with its front scale taken off, showing the torsion bar. Anybody have one?

I requested this a month back because my torsion bar broke, and ZT has sent me the same size torsion bar 4 times or so, which doesn't fit my 0350. No one bothered to take pics for me. Did your torsion bar snap and you're trying to compare sizes?

I finally called Cheryl after Thomas's advice here. All the speed assist bars for the ZT line are the same size, but they're fitted by hand and torqued in (Cheryl's word). Needless to say, after getting cut badly and having to get stitches trying to fit the damn bar into place, I realize it's above my means. It took my brother and me both to put it in the knife...and then we saw it didn't fit (which is why I asked Cheryl in the first place if there were two sizes of torsion bars).

In the end I decided to ship my knife back to have the bar replaced. Customer service is great from ZT...I just wish I didn't have to find out the hard way that the bars take that much effort to get in.

EDIT: Also, the 0350 has gone through a few revisions internally. Phill Dobson (guy that made my custom 0350 scales) said that my 0350 was the first he's seen where the knife had two grooves for the torsion bar, one on the g10 and one on the non-locking SS liner...that might be why my knife has issues accepting the torsion bars. Phill gets plugged every chance I get. Free word of mouth advertising. He makes great scales.

EDIT 2: He posted my knife in the reply after this one..it's the one with contoured black g10 scales.

No photo of one open, but if you look carefully, you can see the torsion bar through the scale.

what type of scales does the bottom one have? that a good looking pair of 350's there!:thumbup:

The bottom is natural colored G10 from AKS; it's very similar to the G11 from James Todd, just a little more translucent.

Good lord, Phillip, I just checked out your flickr account and that is some gorgeous work.
