Can someone please post a picture of the new style stop sleeve on their Sebenza? I tried to find one online but had no luck.

Thanks,

Mitch

Have a look at the Chris Reeve Large Sebenza Insingo - Micarta Inlay Folding Knife at knifeart.com this has the new one, the new style has grooves around the edges and is larger in diameter i think.

Thanks. Can anyone confirm if the diameter is larger? If this is the case, then that would change the lockup right?

I have an april 2010 small sebenza 21 with the plain sleeve and a march 2011 small 21 with the grooved sleeve, lock up was the same on both, i recently lost the plain sleeve when cleaning the 2010 sebenza and tried the newer sleeve on the older sebenza, this did change the lockup and the blade slid in between the handles too easy when reassembling, the lockup was about 60% but went over to about 90% with the newer sleeve, i'm sure heather said the newer style sleeves are larger in diameter, but she managed to find an older style one for me.

Thanks for the explanation. Does this mean that in a few years when I want to refurbish my Sebenza they won't have the parts to help?

They have a machine shop if they need a part..They can simply make more if they are out. It really shouldn't be a concern because they will take care of you one way or another :)

Thanks everyone. I'm confident CRK will take care of me. It just sounded weird to me that they would change the diameter of the stop sleeve since that would make the basic parts no longer interchangeable.
