Pick any knife feature: Which design best executes on that feature?

I'm thinking of literally any knife feature you find important: flippers, frame locks, back locks, opening/ closing actions, detent, pocket clip, how it rides in the pocket, fidget factor, ergonomics, who heat treated a specific steel the best, who used carbon fiber the best, etc. Which knife design is at the top of the list for you in how the maker executed on that feature?

As an example, the feature I'll choose is the Liner lock. My personal favorite execution of a liner lock is found on the Spyderco Military for the following reasons:
  • Arc on blade tang provides consistent lock interface engagement as the liner wears over time
  • Nested lock keeps the handle slim
  • The cut out on the handle and jimping on the lock bar make it very comfortable to disengage the lock
  • The minimal steel on the liner keeps the knife's weight down
  • These have been the most consistent in where the liner lock engages on the tang. Other liner locks I've had engage earlier on some knife openings and later on others. The Military engages and locks at the same place no matter how many times I open / close it.
  • Lock stick is less common (non-existent for the several Militaries I've owned over the years) than on other liner locks I've had
  • I've never seen any lock slip on any of the Militaries I've owned and handled when applying pressure on the spine
I trust the Spyderco Military liner lock the most in terms of consistency and reliability, and it's really comfortable to disengage, which increases its fidget factor for me.

This seems like a cool thread. Not sure why it didn't take off. I was for some reason really not a flipper guy for the longest. Ive had some Reates, a couple spydercos, and flipped everything at House of Blades.

I think ZT has the best feeling flippers. Similar to a nice 1911 trigger or glass breaking, then if flies out somewhat regardless of the size of the blade.

Who's next?
