I brought home 2 picks together the other day.
One here is clearly marked Collins.
The other if stamped,I will need to clean and find.

The first one is a drift pick. I've never seen one quite that long. The length and the octagonalizing lead me to think if might have been drawn out and re-steeled. Be seeing the Collins stamp inside the octagonalizing makes me thinks it factory. A vinegar soak or cleaning might reveal if it's been added onto like this old Klein-Logan:

The second one is a tamping pick. Those are still made and used by the railroad industry.

I am glad the photos I posted showed the octogan shape run throughout the length, even and symmetrical. I will get this bad boy, and the Billnäs 1934 all cleaned up. I dont see a mark or stamp on the tamping pick and may not after cleaning but I wouldnt be to surprised if I find a Collins under there.
The Collins Drift Pick, thank you for identifying it proper for me, is a great addition to my slow growing eclectic Collins Co. collection.

And maybe I can start to thin out a few of these I have here...
