When Hiwa and I were hanging out yesterday, I had a chance to play with his brand new DT ESEE 3.. what an awesome little knife, it sliced through wood with ease, it was very easy to make extra tight feathersticks with and just all around i admired it as a knife. I had to have one..even though I have the HEST, IZULA, RC 4 and RC 5..

so here it is... i bought the OD green blade with the orange high vis G10 handles just to be different..its a funky looking knife. but i like it!

I can tell already I'm going to use this knife alot, i build alot of traps, just for practice and the overal gaining of knowledge, and this knife will be perfect for that..I probably wont baton this knife very much if at all ,unless i absolutely have to..Its thin at 1/8th but was purpose built as a KNIFE, not a pry bar..The way it cuts through material very much reminds me of my Paramilitary in CPM D2...It is light in the hand too..it feels " quick " companred to some of my other ESEE's...pretty cool....Overall, awesome knife, and i dont know why but i think the colour scheme on this knife is awesome.

Now i know why everyone has an RC 3 / ESEE 3. An outstanding product that i am proud to own.

The orange and green is awesome. Had an RC-4 just like that (gifted it to my dad). I want an ESEE-3 some day, but I may go for Micarta this time.

Nice knife!

Congrats on the ESEE 3 , Glad to hear you like the color scheme I pushed so hard for

So it's your fault? You just went down a notch in my book Tony. :D It should be OD Green and Green Canvas Micarta. Pffffff.

Guardian, congrats on the 3. It's working it's way to the top of my favorites list. Ain't pushing the 4 out though.

Way to go buddy ! Glad you like it. It's gonna be my 5's sidekick. I don't have a 5 yet but , she's coming soon ! Unbeatable combo pair for the bush.

:D

I really like the 3, it was my first and still my favorite!:thumbup::D

Congrats on the new blade. I have a 3 and it's a nice little knife.

A question, please, you decide to get a 3 one day, and you have it the next? How does this happen? - Enquiring minds want to know.

Well, ive been pondering the thought of getting a ESEE 3, but because of the Junglas on order i didnt really engage the thought of actually getting one. But after useing Hiwas ESEE 3 i realized that i needed one..which is a funny statement, " needed " kinda goes hand in hand with " really wanted" haha. So i made a couple of phone calls and bought one!

No one really needs an ESEE 3 if the have the ESEE 4..but what the hell..and i still have the junglas on its way...so thats pretty cool..But i really like the ESEE 3..i never thought i would ever love a thin knife, as i prefer thicker blades, but this knife slices, cuts and whittles incredibly...It definetly has its place.

Oooooooh... I do so like that olive blade and orange scales. So much so that I ordered the same knife just yesterday (to go with the same color scheme in an ESEE-4). :)

Congrats on the great new blade but don't sell it short on its abilities I have batoned plenty of wood with it to start some fires in wet conditions and I never once doubted its abilities. It really is an amazing knife!
