What a steal for $5! Either get it reground or send it to kershaw for a new blade.
That would not be a real nice thing to do.
You can fix a tip with the wicked edge system? That's awesome! I still want to know what kershawguy meant when he said it wasn't a very nice thing to do. I gotta have a tip on my knives for sure! From what I am seeing on the blackout a system lie edge pro or wicked edge could fix the smooth part of that blade no problem, you can remove a decent amount of metal pretty quick with those to fix nicks
Don't worry. I'm sure he mistakenly thought you were going to claim warranty privilege, which it's clear you are not. I had somewhat the same problem with a rather damaged Emerson, but was able to send it to a knife maker who did wonders for it, including reconstituting a nearly worn out Ti liner lock. Replacing the blade at Emerson would've cost $90, which is still an option, but I think there's plenty left on the blade. It was mainly the liner lock I was worried about, and it's fine now. Someone said that by having it repaired I "lost" the warranty, but I never had it to begin with. I didn't even look into buying a new liner lock, although did replace all the screws and bought a new pocket clip for it.You can fix a tip with the wicked edge system? That's awesome!
