I believe some have commented on them, but I recently picked up an Emerson Mach 1 on trade. This one's an '04, which surprised me as I thought they stopped making them in '00 (Or changed the name prior to '04).
I've always liked the CQC7's, but don't care for the B's full chisel grind. I prefer the V-grind models, although I do have a '99 CQC7B that I've used considerably & will probably never get rid of it. I had a CQC7A (CE Spear-point), but got rid of it.
I've liked the mini-Commander & the Mach 1's blade shape is similar, but I find the handle on the Mach 1 to be more comfortable & I like the spine shape right above the pivot area.
The clip does sit a little low, so quite a bit of the handle sticks out, but this one is otherwise excellent.
Does anyone know why Emerson put 2 lanyard holes in the Mach 1?
