Picked up a new Ark

Well as the title says, I ordered up a new Ark with the serrated edge. I knew it would be tiny, but I usually carry a small fixed blade along with a folder or an OTF. I purchased the Spyderco G-Clip so I can go from a neck knife to a belt sheath set up. But I've been wearing it as a neck knife. Never have done so before, never thought I would, but it is great so far. I don't notice it hanging there because of the thin profile & because of how lightweight it is. My smaller hands can easily grab it & and get 3 fingers on it. The sheath is decent & holds the knife in without fail.
The minuses, the sheath leaves marks on the blade from putting it in & pulling it out. The spine needs jimping! That's it! I'm just surprised at how much I am enjoying this little wonder. It won't frighten anyone & the blade rips through whatever you need.
Worth a shot if your looking for a small fixed blade that is incredibly light & is about as thick as 2 quarters. Good job Spyderco, but please fix the 2 things I said needed work.

My little Ark along side my Monster Microtech Combat Troodon. Looking forward to putting the Ark through its paces this week. See how it'll do.

Thanks for your insight on the Ark.

I've bought a couple of neck knives but just find them too uncomfortable to wear; don't like the chain or paracord hanging on my neck.

Adding the G-clip would be the way I'd go but I'm already carrying a Bastinelli/Marcaida Pika daily for SD use instead. I also have a variety of other small tactical fixed blade belt knives that I can carry instead, including a Kabar TDI and a Kabar Hinderer Hellfire which I think I'd still prefer to the Ark. Then there are the Spyderco Ronin, Reverse and Street Beat but they are all quite a bit larger than the Ark or Kabars.

Ah.....had to zoom in to see the serrations. Saw one at a show a while back and was surprised at the small size, sounds like it packs a big punch though! Congratulations!

H1 scratches easy. Look at it funny and a new one appears.

1st day at work with it & it worked out rather well. I wore it as a neck knife & the only thing that I didn't like is the ball chain was pulling out my chest hairs lol. Besides that, it did all the chores I needed it to. I like it so far. Very lightweight. It's a keeper in my book.

I have heard of putting gutted paracord over the ball chain to keep it from pulling hairs.

Thank you for the tip. I tried to install the G-Clip but the holes don't line up. I'd have to drill it to make it work. Oh well. I'm actually enjoying it as a neck knife so I guess I'll just leave it alone.

Nice little backup,
I like the comparison next to your microtech.
Thanks for sharing.

This is a Big Ern knife but you get the idea.

I've wanted one for a while, but still don't have one. I'd prefer SE, but like them both. Too bad the G-Clip doesn't fit, it would make it that much better.
