Picked up my BK16 from Tomar's today!

Sooo I finally made my trip across the border to pickup my BK16 that I ordered through Tomar's. I had been wondering what the FFG models would be like in hand, as I was starting to like the look of the stripped FPR models, and thought the FFG a little plain. Opened the box up in the parking lot and was immediately glad I waited for the regular production models to roll out, I love the look of the new finish, and the flat grind looks great. I think I might just leave this one black and put some interesting scales on it. I do find the standard scales a little thin, but the ergonomics are great. The sheath is great quality, not quite spec-ops level, but for an overseas made sheath it is one of the best I've seen. I'll take some pics and post up a lil review tomorrow, but by now I'm sure everyone knows what it looks like and how awesome it is. Just wanted to say YAY I got a new knife. Hopefully the BK4 shows up next week :D.

Oh and of special note, I also got a little Tomar's Kabars keychain with my order...nice little bonus that really hits that soft spot I have for great customer service. Thanks Tomar!
 
I don't care what you think about the knife, I just wanna see a full on review of the key chain! That means I wanna know the edge retention, quality of the steel, what steel it is, what grind it has and what kind of scales are on it!

P.S. I lied, congrats on the knife, but I still want to hear everything about that key chain.

Edit: Still 95 FPR 16s in stock at the place they came from.

They sent him a new one already, great customer service, to bad I can't afford to buy from anyone other than the floating store down in south america.... even if I want to buy from someone else I can't right now....

I got all kinds of tomars stuff now. When you ordered as much as I have you get pens and patches and stickers. I'm hoping my next will finally earn me a water bottle :D
 
Hmm, well, with the exceptions of safe queen/out of production Becker's, I know where I'm buying the rest of my knives from! :D
