The Utilitac is a tank. I almost picked up a ZT0566 when I bought the Mini Barrage. I'm kinda glad I didn't. I can't get over how well put together this thing is for under $24 shipped. It feels a LOT like a ZT for 1/5th the price. Sure AUS8A isn't Elmax, but I'm not complaining one bit.
I picked up the mini Barrage on a whim. I had some gift cards to a local gun shop/range and I went to put my new 10/22 through its paces and decided to take a peek at their knife selection since I wanted a new EDC folder. I really wanted a Manix2, but they only had the XL which was just way too big for the office. Started looking at Benchmades and the size of this one was almost perfect. I've never owned an Axis lock, the lockup is unreal. It's a little thick in the scales, but carries well in my pocket. The assist is better than on any other assisted opener I've owned. My only complaint is that the factory grind isn't even. It looks to be 20ish degrees on 1 side and somewhere near 30 on the other. I think I'm going to reprofile it to around 17 dps this weekend.
I also picked up an Edge Pro Apex clone at the flea market. I have never gotten a better edge on a knife than with this thing. It might be the best $20 I've ever spent. I think when I get my bonus at work later this year I'm going to treat myself to the real deal Professional model. In the meantime, I've already ordered a DMT 2x6 for it to make reprofiling faster and I think I'm going to order the full set of the stock edge pro stones as well.
