Which Mnandi do you prefer?

I'm not sure how appropriate this thread is, but I'm having a heck of a time choosing between these two! I love the additional/more interesting spalting on #1 vs. #2, but the contrast between the light and dark wood on #2 is pretty cool.

Which would you pick?

Thanks!

Tough choice, both are nice. If both sides match I would go with #2. It's really personal preference. Something to consider, the perspective of these images are from approximately 4-6" away. Try viewing the images at a distance from your computer monitor and see if that helps your decision. As you know this is a fairly small knife. The bold color differences in #2 suits it well imo.

I prefer #1 . #2 looks like a mis-match to me.
Almost bought one of those but really wanted the carbon fiber version.

I should have posted the backsides (see below). #2 is pretty lackluster on the reverse, but that contrast really is nice even though light wood is a bit boring.

Thanks for the comments so far!

Even more so seeing the reverse , I'd go with #1 ! Just has a better integrated , cleaner look .:thumbsup:

I like both, but #2's less measured/symmetrical pattern makes it more appealing to me. That is how I voted.

It's toss up, I pick either one.
The right answer is, get them both.:p

I like both but my vote is 2. Just like how it different than the norm.

Thanks guys! I'm leaning heavily towards #1 now. I'd easily go with #2 if the reverse scale wasn't such a misfit...

Just wanted to update and let you guys know I took your votes/comments to heart: I just ordered #1! Even though the front side of #2 looks really cool, I couldn't get past the reverse.

Also, I can't believe I just spent that much on a knife! It stops now!

Of course it does ! Good luck with that .;)
It's definitely a slippery slope. A $50 knife at one point was crazy, then I got over the $200 mark and the sky is the limit... not good!

The Mnandi is in transit, the suspense is killing me!
