Picking your daily carry

How do you pick what knife you carry for the day? Usually I just grab my delica (my small beater knife) and my sage 2 just because its my newest knife.



Is there any particular way you guys choose your edc???
 
I have a rotation drawer, here's a pic:

There's a couple new guys in there since that pic. Usually after I get dressed I open that drawer, think about what I have planned for the day, and pick accordingly as dictated by the activities/scenarios I plan on encountering.
 
Pretty similar to the above. I open the EDC drawers, pick knife/gun/holster that tickles my fancy that day, and am on my merry.
 
2 factors
-what I will be doing that day
-what I feel like!

I've got a pool of 15 or so regular EDC blades, and sometimes I will switch them out with the rest of my collection
 
Is there a time where you get a new knife and that's the only thing you want to carry? I think I'm in that phase right now with my sage
 
ZT 0700 in my pocket and Izula on my neck. Those are my EDC as in "those are the knives I carry every day." They're just the best knives for me to carry, and if I get a better knife, it'll replace one of those 2.
 
I have 6 or 7 in my EDC rotation. I start on the left side and work my way to the right side, in that order mostly. Each Monday morning I pick the next one and carry it for the following 7 days. That way each one gets carried equal time. (Well actually I've changed the order up a bit since that photo, so there would be more variety from week to week.)

I usually pick my EDC based on what I am wearing that day, or what my newest knife is. But I usually rotate them so that I carry a different one every day for 7-10 days.

When I really started to get into knives I used my newest knife most days. Then a few weeks later I would get a new one and use that one and so on. It got to the point that I had about 14 folders that I had already used so they couldnt be called collectors knives. I didnt want to let them just sit and collect dust so I started rotating blades each day of the week. With in a months I noticed the smaller blades didnt do it for me any more so I stopped edcing the smaller blades. My rotation was a custom Manix2, Para2, Endura FFG, ZT300, Ti military, and a g10 military. They are all very different knives and the Military(s) was the best of the 6 blades for my everyday needs. Thats all I carry, everyday. When I get home and change to my street clothes the Ti Military gets used. Its a little flashy and a little cooler then the g10 Military. It will probably be that way for a long time, nothing seems to be as good as my Military(s). Maybe a Military2 but thats going to be a long wait. If I go into LA county I carry my Delica FFG because of the 3" legal limit.
