Picky over boonie

I've been thinking about getting a run of the mill khaki boonie hat. However, I don't want one with the metal mesh vents. Could anyone recommend a place to buy a khaki boonie hat with non-metal vents.

I have an REI explorer hat that I really like, and it does not have the metal mesh holes. Although, I find myself grabbing a mil spec boonie most days. The REI hat has a wider brim, but I would prefer it to have a bit stiffer crown.

I just looked at a cabelas brand mil spec boonie that I have and it does not have the mesh covers, but it does have two small (metal lined) vent holes in each side. Cabelas has a wide selection of boonie style hats. One may fit what you are looking for...

I wear the Equinox ultralite boonie. It weighs 1.3 oz and is waterproof. The picture is blue, but it comes in cattail brown and willow green, too. I have the cattail brown version. Folds into a *tiny* space and is stuffable.

Pricey. I just went with a cheapie sub-$10 regular khaki boonie hat - I'll remove the metal mesh and get rid of that web-band too.

'cause I don't like 'em. Simple. Every boonie I've ever had didn't have the metal vents.
