This my first Spyderco so I will need some help. There is no model number but it does have VG-10 Japan on one side Spyderco on the other and on the blade it's etched or stamped Wegner Design. Small knife but nice has been carried and no pocket clip, any help on what I found. I'll post pics in a bit.

Check out the pics, is VG-10 hard to sharpen because it's very dull.

VG-10 is easy to sharpen but since it is dull right now there may be some work involved getting the edge profiled to your liking. The clip should be easy to replace.
My usual sources don't show any history on the Mouse but I did find a picture of it as new. http://www.spydiewiki.com/models/img/cx11p.jpg
Good find BTW.

You can always send it in to the factory for sharpening.

Anyone know production numbers and date of manufacture. I have read that Tim Wegner made four knives for Spyderco and this is the CX11. Would that be Spyderco's number or Tim Wegner's? I'm working on the edge, and it's arm hair sharp right now. Does it take a standard clip or a smaller one for it's size?

The clip looks pretty standard but I've been wrong before. Give these guys a call and you'll be set up. Spyderco Factory Outlet | Spyderco, Inc.

Five dollars and that's just for the return shipping the actual sharpening is free.

They could also fit the correct clip and screws for about $5-10 when you send it in for sharpening.

Have to find my caliper, by sight its about one half inch across at least.

I have one. The clip is a standard shaped one, silver, it might be smaller than some.

Supposedly to demonstrate its usefulness someone used it to dress a mule deer. I like it. It's a perfect companion to the Matriarch.

IIRC Wegner's current company sells the design and a similar one, but it has a FRN handle and 440C blade. There's one in pink that is a good gift for girls and women.

I like this one like it is, the closed length is about a half inch shorter then my scallion but twice as heavy and thought I can only get three fingers(almost) on the handle it is a stout little knife. I'm glad the first one I bought is such a good one.
