The ATR rocks, so does the Chinook II. Looks like Spyderco will get plenty of my money this year. I wonder if I can do payroll deduction? ;)
 
First of all thank you for posting the pictures of the new crop of spyderco"s.I must say that it has been a long time(several years)since I have been so excited to see a new production knife become available.Namely the atr.It is exactly what I have been looking for,now the hard part is waiting.Does anyone know the msrp for the atr?any information from anyone would be appreciated.
 
I saw these pics a few days ago and I'm really excited. I Cricket and the Spydersaw look really awesome. I'm starting to have doubts in the Dodo though. I have never though a Spyderco to really look ugly...but the Dodo is challenging that. I guess I'll have to heft one first and get a feel for it.

My first impression was "ugly." This quickly changed to "silly." Now, I think it looks kind of cool. I still won't buy one though.
 
Of course the Dodo is ugly! So are Glocks! BTW, I handled the Dodo and ATR at the Spirit of Steel Show, and liked the Dodo but the ATR left me cold. Different people, different tastes. I will conceal the Dodo like I conceal my Glocks. The Dodo should also be useful for those who carry knives in places like Boston which restrict knives with blades over 2.5 inches.
 
I really like the looks of the ATR, but I imagine that it's going to be a pretty expensive knife...:(.
 
The Dodo looks pretty neat to me. :cool: LOL! It's weird, but it's something different and it seems like it would be quite useable.

I've personally not had much interest in the A.T.R., but the integral compression lock on a Ti handle is undeniably cool.

The SS Cricket would make a good gift knife: it's shiny, classy, and non-threatening. Hopefully, it's non-expensive too! :)
 
Several people have commented that the Dodo is ugly or silly looking. Think back a couple of years to when the same was said about the Gunting and then look at the response it got once people had the chance to hold one. Looks aside, I think it will work quite well!

Thanks for giving us all one more (check that..five more) things to drool over...
 
I have been meaning to ask what the modified dagger tip is all about on the ATR. Does it mean it has the same slightly sharpened double side like the SOG pentagon elite and its shark tooth tip?
 
Yeah, actually the Dodo did grow on me.
When is it out?
