Rcv'd my Holloween present:D Ilike it. I didn't think it was all that sharp but....doing a figure eight form it brushed slightly against my leg. Yes it bled, nice clean cut from a very small light touch! It's sharp enough!;)

Nice pix! First time I saw how the tsuba is shaped and engraved. Hope you'll get well with the injury soon, and enjoy the katana.

Yes, this katana is made by Sher. I like the wood "grip", quite large and fills the hand. I havn't tried the blade on wood yet but the blade seems quite stout. Here is my slight scratch from practising , I need alot of practice:D

Thanks for the compliment of the pics, Wrong Friend. I wanted to emphasize the tsuba. It is brazed onto the brass spacer too. It is there to stay, a added touch that impressed me. The quality of this Katana is quite good, I suppose I should have expected this HI. The two samurai swords I have is from WW11 and don't compare in ruggedness.:)

Beauty!:D The kat not the cut. Take care. Noticed that the length makes these things kinda dangerous! That "reach out and cut something" might just be the user!

really nice pics,
anyone any idea how to carry the sword on a frog of this style (parallel to the belt)? I tried it and changed it afterwards on my katana lately. Now the belt loop is close to a 90° angle to the line of the sword, similar to a khukuri-frog. This may not be the "classic" way to carry a katana - but it is not a normal katana either, it`s the everest-katana :).

bye,
Andreas

Beauty! And thanks for posting that tsuba detail, I was completely unable to get a decent photo of mine, which has the same type of design.

Charles the blade is 25 11/16 long, 1 5/16 wide, and the spine is a full 5/16 thick. It has a nice tapered edge, 11/16 convex, then 5/8 flat. It is not thinned "out" all the way up to the tip and is very strong. I hope this helps.;)
