This past weekend, we had our 4th bushbash gathering here in Sequoia National Forest. Friends from Los Angeles, San Diego, and Visalia met up to spend a wonderful 3 days in the woods. We had a great time, and for me it was the most fun bushbash so far despite not being able to sleep the first night. I think it just keeps getting better. I could not have asked for a better bunch of folks to hang out with. The Here are some of the pictures that I took.

Nice pictures. Too bad there isn't ever anything like that going on in my neck of the woods One question, however, and it's not meant as a criticism so please don't take it as one. I see a lot of photos of gatherings where people are shooting off in the bush somewhere (I'm a shooter myself but high population density in my area has rounds confined to ranges). How do you know there isn't anyone down range at an informal gathering like this? Is this a designated shooting area or is the forest open to hunting, etc.?

aaahhhhh man... looks like a blast guys... i wish we could have gone...:) my boys are still talking about the gathering we last went to...:o

love the knife shot too...:D

Fog rolled in and out throughout the weekend. Waking up to the mist was refreshing.

A bit starry eyed over the Siegle chopper, are we? Can't be helped. That thing chopped through wood like butter.

One of several ridiculously well built knives that Ray brought along.

Looks like a Blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and I KNOW a thing or 2 about Siegle Choppers!!!

You need a spot with a hill for a backstop.

Is this a designated shooting area
A good place to shoot that's easily accessible (yet far enough from houses so the noise doesn't bother anybody) is often used over and over, by lots of people, but isn't necessarily officially designated by any official body.

Man, I wish we could have went, but had tickets to the fight....that looks like so much fun! Great job guys and great pics thanks for posting!!

Too bad they didn't think about the knife picture until after I left. I had around ten with me.

That was alot of fun. Going to post more pics tomorrow. To late to get to it today.. I got all my stuff for friction fire here with me at home now. Would post pic of a fire im going to make using only the wood i found at the bush bash. I refuse to quit and would make a fire going not just lots of smoke. As for the shooting i think i got a new nutcase now and she only talks about shooting again. What rifle she wants and that mike is going to lose next time lol...
