Here is GYSG Oakes, Winner of BRC2001...his team mate SFC Patterson was in need of some light medical attention immediately following the contest and was not available for the photo op. Gunny Oakes LOVED the Tomahawk Throwing Event and was awarded a Light Infantry Tomahawk at the awards ceremony. He is a Ranger Tab bearing Marine and has been working with the Ranger Training Brigade for many years...this is his third time competing in BRC and first win! It was a long time coming for him....congrats Gunny!

Andy, Bobby, and Frank,

Congrats on a successful event down there -- looks like it was a blast!

I can't stand it anymore. It's Monday afternoon, and I'm taking the rest of the day off to go chucking...

See you when I get back!

Best,

Brian.

Thanks Brian. There is too much to say at the moment.

Just got in from Atlanta International and have to get some sleep as I have to leave again tomorrow. Poor Andy is still on the road for another several hours.

He'll post more pics and we'll tell more of the story soon!

Out.

It looks and sounds like the ya'll had a great time. I just wish they would let me & MTF3 compete next year! We would give them a head start

Sure!

We'll compete. All they have to do is replace all the physical exercises and intelligent stuff with an EATING competition.
