The block of shifts I've just done seemed to go on forever so I couldn't wait to get out today for my outdoor fix !!!

What a perfect day as well, the sun was shining, the birds singing....perfect !

As I was walking my mind wandered to what I'd do if I needed to make traps but didn't have enough cordage. I could of course make some natural cordage as I often do, I could use my boot laces etc but one I'd never thought before was my dogs leashes !

Had to give it a shot~

This was my sharp of the day~

I did use some paracord for the snare, you can just make that out on the floor~

I even managed to use the clip on the leash as the toggle trip, this trap was so simple to make using the leash !

A little video of me tripping it~

It wasn't actually needed as I had enough paracord wrapped around my PSK~

I've really become partial to nibbling Sheep Sorrel as I hike, the leaves are quite bitter tasting similar to crab apple peel but I quite enjoy them. They are also very high in Vit C !

Anyway there was time for a little more exploring before returning home~

I love Jack Russell Terriers! Aren't they the best hiking dogs ever?

I don't think any other dog will ever come close to my Bull terrier as my favourite dog/best friend but the Jack Russell has really suprised me and is turning into a great little dog. She's smart, very affectionate, good little guard dog and has lost most of that over the top craziness that you associate with JRT's.
So yeah she's definitely growing on me !!!!;)

Great pics man. Thanks for sharing.

I just watched a movie named Hachi. It's about a dog that used to wait everyday at the train station for his master to come home from work. That went on for years until the master died at work and never took the train home. The dog waited at the train station everyday for 9 years until it died. The family tried taking him home but he ran off and waited at the station.

Highly recommended for any dog lovers

Nice pics bro, man it's even greener there than here. I like that trap.

Neat idea on using the leash pit. Cordage is an often undervalued item in a PSK, good to see you packing the good stuff!
