Pics in Hand - Small Seb Request

Alright, I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on my first CR, can't decide between the small and the large. I know this has been beat to death, but I'm looking for pics in hand of the small mostly.

I had a mini-griptilian and sold it because my pinkie wouldn't fit on the handle. Couldn't stand it. I'm not looking to duplicate the experience after dropping $400. From what I can tell, the large is about the size of a Buck 110, but I can't seem to get a good feel for the size of the small, particularly the handle, and the amount of the handle available for holding.

Any input?
 
If the min grip was too small for you, the small Sebenza will be also.
 
The mini grip is too small for me too but the small seb isn't. I believe it's more to do with the handle shape rather than the size.
 
I would go with the large. For all practical matters I am sure the small will be plenty sufficient, but like you said when spending 400 bucks you are gonna want the one you truly enjoy.

I don't have any pics but my first was a small. I always wished I purchased a large, which I finally did and am completely happy. It just feels right...
 
Even though the small is only marginally smaller I did feel a large difference in size. Too much for me, I stick with large's.

Some people really like the smalls and the small will probably cut everything the large will without issue. I recommend trying the large first, if you don't like it you can always flip for a small and some extra cash.
 
For me, the Large Seb is the my absolute favorite to look at, hold, collect, and use. But I end up carrying a small most of the time due to my work environment (office) and typical daily use (letters, boxes, the occasional apple, etc.). Here a couple of pic's of what I have with me today (and a way to show off my new arrival -Regular #172 :D)

I have medium sized hands, and think that the handle of the large Sebenza feels better for use. My little finger doesn't quite grab the handle of a Small when closed. Then again, smalls carry better for me on a daily basis and so get more pocket time than my larges.

my favorite answer to this question, and I read it here someplace, is that it doesn't matter, because which ever one you buy, you'll by the other size next. That is exactly what I did.
 
I would personally go for the large unless you really want something in a more "gentlemanly"
size. I do carry the small but get more use out of the large Sebenza and Umnumzaan.

Here's a small Regular with the Umnumzaan for comparison. My hands aren't really that big but I still find the small quite small.
(sorry for the crappy pics, it's night time here so artificial light is the best I have :p)

Next question, are there two sizes of smalls? The ones in posts #6 and #9 look tiny compared to the ones in #10 and #13.

Nope, only one size.

Though there are a few Umfaans floating around.
 
All the smalls are the same size. I think what you are seeing are differences in perspective and hand size. Grab a ruler, measure 4" exactly, then lay it across your hands to see how the size fits you.

Admit it though, you're gonna get both eventually so the real question is "What do I get first?". Right?

While the Small Sebenza only comes in one size it's worth keeping in mind that people come in many different shapes and sizes. :p

Camera angle can do funny things to knives in pics as well.
