Pics: New large CF sebenza. And question

The blade tang looks like it was ground out fine, then theres a spot ground out on the side. Is this normal? I love it though! I was just observing and wondered if someone slipped when grinding, or it it's normal. I see what all the hype is about though, i don't think i've ever had a knife i loved as much as this, maybe my spyderco military, but this one is awesome. Sorry about the crappy pics, i just grabbed my point and shoot as my DSLR is buried. If you want better or more specific pictures, just ask and i'll get em for ya. Last picture is the questionable one.

yah something about that picture doesnt look right. My sebenzas are finished all the way down the tang. Ive never seen the tang look like that before. im suprised that was sold like that. Maybe a better picture would clear the air though.

You need to take it apart and clean it....looks like hell !! .... I seriously doubt it came from Chris like that.

Take the knife apart (its simple)....take good pics of the blade...that colors got me straight trippin boo.

I thought for sure that was rust or something, I would send a picture of that to CRK and ask them about it.

Is it sticky at all? How deep is the lockup?

Just doesn't look right to me.

It isn't sticky at all. Lockup is maybe 60%. It's not late at all. The part in the top of the picture is where the lock contacts the tang. I'm just wondering about the little bit of wandering grind on the left. It isn't very deep. How do yours look?

I looked at my large 21 born Nov 28 2011 and it looks just like yours. I think your pics make it seem more pronounced than it really is, I had to use a light to light up the area well enough to notice. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with your sebbie and I'm pretty sure CRK will say the same thing. Either way let us know what happens or what CRK says

with the better pictures it doesnt look that bad but yours seems to have an extra "tail" of grind lines that ive never seen on a sebby before. maybe its the newer ones

Yeah the better pictures make it look better. I just checked a few of mine but they don't have that "tail"

Those first pix made it look nasty.
