I picked up a couple new Bark River knives and thought I'd show them off.

The first is the City Knife, shown with the Buckhorn Pocket sheath. The concept of the stock sheath, that also carried some credit cards, was well, kinda lost on me. For me, a sheath should be a sheath, not a wallet.

Below are the pick of the North Star Companion with the stock sheath as well as the Dakota, small sized Moreau Multi Sheath. I wanted to replace the stock sheath because. again, for me, it was too busy.

In the following picture, I am trying to show this sheath appears to be the right size for the knife.

In the pic below, notice how the blade sliced right through the stitching. Apparently there is no welt keeping the blade's edge off the stitching so be careful with this sheath.

Yea, I don't mean to overgeneralize but based on my one Bark River and after reading a few posts including yours -- they craft a fine knife and stick it in an awful/stock sheath. The sheath that came with my BR is the wrong size and shape, and the tip of the knife has pierced through it many times.

I picked up a used Companion a few weeks ago for $50 with a leather and kydex sheath.. great little knife. Nice pickups
